KPIQ — Ad Performance Diagnostics for Shopify

This page explains what data KPIQ stores and how you can delete it. It applies to all connected advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google and any future integrations).

What data KPIQ stores

KPIQ is an ad-performance diagnostic app. When you connect an advertising platform, KPIQ stores:

  • An encrypted access token for the connected ad account (used to fetch your ad reports)
  • Your ad-account identifier and basic account metadata (account name, currency, time zone)
  • Aggregate performance metrics from your reports (such as click-through rate, ROAS, and conversion rate)

KPIQ does not store your personal social-media profile data (such as your Facebook name, profile, or email), and it does not store individual end-customer (shopper) personal data. Ad performance data (insights) is not stored permanently — it is fetched at report time, and only an aggregate KPI summary is kept in your report history.

How to delete your data

You have three ways to remove your data, depending on what you want to delete:

1. Disconnect a single platform

In the KPIQ app, go to Settings → Platform Connections and click Disconnect next to the platform you want to remove (e.g. Meta or TikTok).

This immediately removes that platform's access token. The connection record (without the token) is retained for audit and reconnection purposes. Other connected platforms are not affected.

2. Remove the KPIQ app (deletes everything)

To permanently delete all of your data, uninstall the KPIQ app from your Shopify admin.

When you uninstall, within approximately 48 hours all of your platform connections (every connected platform), access tokens, and account records (installation, quota, and usage data) are permanently and irreversibly deleted. This is handled automatically through Shopify's data-erasure process.

3. Request deletion directly

If you connected through Meta and want to remove KPIQ's access from the Meta side, you can remove the app from your Facebook settings (Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites). To ensure your stored data is deleted from KPIQ, also use Disconnect in the app or uninstall KPIQ from Shopify as described above.

End-customer data

KPIQ does not retain individual end-customer (shopper) personal data. Data deletion requests routed through Shopify's customer-data channels are verified and acknowledged; there is no shopper personal data held to delete.
